    “Izakaya” is a compound word consisting of “i” (to stay) and “sakaya” (sake shop).

    Izakaya 88 is Rockford’s newest contemporary dining experience. Traditionally known throughout Japan as sake shops that pair small portions of food with sake, this concept is presented to you with new inventive food ideas from the culinary mind of Chef Macku Chan.
